This weekend in entertainment. JUNE 3, 2024

After being at 1st place last week, it seems furiosa fell to 2nd place, making The Garfield movie #1, now the box office standing is like this:

US Domestic weekend

  1. The Garfield movie, grossed 1,852,387

  2. Furiosa, grossed 1,726,115

  3. IT, grossed 1,430,326

The Garfield movie did well this weekend, while furiosa fell but let's see what happens when it begins to stream. Watching movies has changed, some movies that are blockbuster won't even make it to the theater example Roadhouse. It had big stars and still only ended up on Amazon prime and not in the theaters. Movies are beginning to open on streaming sites. Will this be the start of blockbuster movies go the streaming sites and not to the theaters first. Entertainment weekly magazine also stopped printing magazines in 2022, they started in the 1990, it was the most popular magazine for entertainment. If you wanted to read what was going on in the entertaining world, that would be your choice. Watching TV it was entertainment tonight and extra. It was what you had to watch to see your favorite actors or movies being talked about. Now its everywhere, you want to know what movie your favorite actor is in, Google it. I got a little of track with my memory, so the most streamed TV shows and movies this week were Dune part 2 at #1, Dark matter #2 Apple TV +, Atlas #3 on Netflix , Tires #4 on Netflix and Fallout #5 on prime video. Something I must say, what will happen to cable TV? There is going to be a big change in the future, a cheaper way to watch TV with more programs that you can watch when you feel like watching it . I don't have cable TV anymore, I got into the streaming platform, I have Amazon firestick. This will be my next topic.
