Walmart is starting a new technology program. Self scanning robots are becoming a test worker at some Walmarts. The company says it wants the robots to do simply task that are repeatable, predictable and manual.

Walmart announced that they will deploy self scanning robots in 50 states. The robots will also be scanning misprint items, prices. These robots will help a lot in the store to replenish items that are sold off. The quicker the items availability the happier the shoppers will be.

Walmart also announced that having these robots will not lead to less job losses. This is good because these robots will have created more work for the associates in stocking the selves and getting products into the store.

It won't be to long when robots are more Humanoid in stores greeting customers and helping them find what they want.
