This is the latest news on quantinuum computer technology, it seems a company called D-Wave the quantum computing company has more qubits as it's predecessor and outperformed the competition in a unbelievable time. D-wave has done something that goolge couldn't achieve, making a quantinuum computer that uses 56 -qubits H2-1. They published this on June 4 but the study has not been peer - reviewed yet.

This is an another huge achievement because it surpasses Google 2019 achievement 100 times. Let me explain a little about quantinuum computer technology, if I made a calculation for atoms in New York and at the same time it gave me the number of atoms in California a quantum computer would also calculate how many atoms there are in-between New York and California in the same, so it's not just finding atoms in one location but a million locations all at the same time. This means it can do a million calculations or things at one time.

The reason why they need a lot of qubits for quantum supremacy is that they are naturally prone to error, so many would be needed to correct these errors. That why many researchers are focused on making reliable qubits , than adding more qubits to the computer.

That's what D-Wave did, they made a quantum computer that broke the quantum supremacy record 100 fold and consumes 30,000 times less power. This is the future technology that will outsmart everyone, so it's important that this must be done right.
