The Defense Advanced Research Project Agency has unveiled there wireless Electricity transporter. This is achieved by sending laser beams from one station to the other, they were able to transmit about 800 watts of power via a laser over 8.6 kilometers.

This research was tested with both laser transmitter and ground receiver requiring the laser to past through the thicker part of the atmosphere which was the greatest part of the experiment.

This technology is to be the breakthrough for wireless electrical transmission, which could be used in the Military, urban and suburban areas, with this technology there will be no need to connect wires to poles from a distance from NY to California you could just use a laser beam to send the electricity from ground to space to ground almost like how your cellphone phone works so it could be even transmitted over longer distance like between two different countries.
