The World's largest Offshore Windfarm
The Worlds Largest Offshore Windfarm
The Netherlands is going to build an artificial island to generate all the energy from it Offshore Windfarm.
This island is about 2.3 square miles and it's scheduled to be finished by 2027. The windfarm will generate about 30 gigawatts of power. The island will be located at the Dogger bank, that is also the windiest and shallow part of the north sea.
The Netherlands will not be the only countries benefiting from the massive amount of electricity, other countries like the UK, Germany, Belgium and Demark will also get a shear of the electricity generated by the windfarm.
Underwater cables will be used to transmit the electricity generated by the windfarm to the artificial island. This is a great idea to generate electricity without pollution and have enough electricity to supply a few countries.
