Sscientists have made a breakthrough in inventing the material that gives batteries a longer lifespan. This invention involves a solid state battery material that conducts lithium ions 30 percent faster than other alternative.

This research was made at the Technical University of Munich and it the material used in the battery set a record for lithium ion conductivity in solid state materials.

This material made of lithium, antimony and scandium, is a solid state battery material, which means it doesn't use liquid electrolytes like other lithium ions batteries. Therefore its makes the battery life span longer and is beneficial for electric vehicles and other electrical devices. Although in its infant stage alot more testing needs to be done to perfect it.
