New Technology For Gene Editing
New Technology For Gene Editing
Crispr gene editing is about to see advancement in clinical trials with the potential for the first FDA approval in gene editing. The CRISPR -Cas9 is a customizable tool that let's scientist cut and insert DNA at specific areas on the DNA strand.
These DNA strands can be repaired or altered by the scientists to modify the the DNA to make a better or compatible DNA strand.
This can also be done in plants to make stronger plants that can adapt to the environment or other plant diseases that can destroy it.
This will be a good technology for scientists because they can correct genetic variants with the ability to cure any human genetic diseases such as sickle cell disease, inherented eye disease, blood disorder and cancer.
