NASA'S high tech New Mission

NASA's Tech

Happy Monday this is what NASA's working on, a space station that orbits around the moon and humans living on it. On June 25, 2024 NASA planned out the stages they will try to achieve in that time period.

The name of the mission is called Artemis and the 2nd stage is set for September 2025 to send the first crewed Artemis mission around the moon. The 3rd is in 2026 and it's to land the first astronauts near the lunar South pole. This is the goal of the astronauts on the lunar surface.

The goal is to find livable environment for people, so they plan to put rovers to search for water on the moon, NASA calls this the Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover or for short VIPER.

This is set to be accomplished in 2031 . There are more news coming soon. NASA latest technology is the solar sail, it will be powered by the sun's light

This will be the first time a technology like this is invented. The sail is stored in a part of spaceship no bigger than a microwave. The sail works with the sun's photons bounce of the reflected shield making the ship accurate with out the use of rocket propeller. The sail when opened fully is 33x33 feet

This makes it possible for the spaceship to fly indefinitely. This opens up exploration of the the sun and deep space. This technology I think will be important for NASA in the future because working so far from earth and traveling from planet to planet will need this technology.
