Money

Paper currency

The future of currency.

Is it possible that in the future we will not need physical cash to buy things. I remember buying tokens to get in the subway in New York city, today all you need is your phone or a credit card. I believe banks in the future will not have paper money and everything will be digital currency. Bitcoin is going to change everything. Digital currency is the way of the future, example: if you go to the supermarket and bought food you can pay for it with your phone. Almost everything is paid for with digital currency, so it won't be long until paper money will be a thing of the past. I took a taxi to work and paid for it with my credit card, you don't need a credit card to do that also you could pay directly from your bank account with zelle. I got a little of track but there was a time in past that animal was used as money, then gold was the biggest to buy merchandise. Gold had been used as a form of currency from 600BCE and stayed that way until the 20th century. It has been 53 years now that gold standard ended in the U.S. I don't think it will be too long until digital currency takes over. When most people get paid it goes to the bank. I think 80% of people receive payment to they bank and not physically in their hands. Credit cards have taken over most of our daily spending and bitcoin has become a legal way of paying for some things.
