The 2 big technologies needed for the completion process of the quantum computer
Quantum technology coming along rapidly
Technology that is necessary for the completion of the quantum computer
The two big technologies needed for the completion process of the quantum computer are becoming closer to being achieved. One of the technology is the stability of the atoms in the quantum computer. A quantum processor contains the computers physical qubits and the structures required to hold them in place.
This is a time crystal used to stabilize the atoms in the quantum computer. The atoms are very sensitive and the slightest noise throws the system off. The time crystal is a quantum system consists many particles that organize themselves in a periodic pattern in time rather than in space. This process allows the atoms more stability but it's still has a few errors to workout. The challenge is to keep the errors in the device at a small percentage, but this is a big step in making the atoms stable and not throw the entire system off.
The 2nd technology neefed is the cooling of the quantum computer.
This is a normal size cooling device for the quantum computer. It takes a very large cooling device to make the atoms slow down. The laser are used to exert force on the atom that slows down there motion. There are alot of techniques that are tried on these atoms the best is the multiple lasers that go in different directions and the cooling of the atoms happens in all three dimensions. This can be possible for the cooling process.
If the quantum computer is to be made for Comercial use it will need to be smaller and more compact but the technology is improving very rapidly and I think it will not be to long for these things to be solved.
